A pen name

In the past fifteen years or so I’ve been using his name more often than ever, as both the Iraqis and the Lebanese and the Greek ask for it as an extra identification. Mainly because in all of these cultures, they keep naming children after grandparents and saints in such a way, that many people end up with the same combination of surname and family name. By adding the father’s name in the middle, that problem is mostly solved.

So when asked for my father’s name, I would always give the English version, Anthony. That makes me Judit Anthony Neurink. And it isn’t too big a step from there to become Judit Antonia.

The paperback of this book is also going to be published outside the Amazon stores, so it will actually be available in a number of bookshops! More details about that coming up!
